I have two little dogs at home. I find it funny because each one of them has a unique personality.
The male is more suspicious. He first goes and smells strangers before considering to become friends. Overall, he is much quieter, but seems to be always alert. The female is quite the opposite. I often say she believes that everyone who comes to our place, does it exclusively to visit her. She is very happy every time we have visitors and shows it very clearly by wagging her tail.
She is laid back. Fireworks, the rain, thunders, people passing by etc. don’t bother her. She never barks. She simply turns her belly up, waiting to be cuddled every time somebody gives her a bit more attention. She is a bon vivant.
I find them both very expressive and, as they do not speak, I watch their body language in order to communicate.
As I watched them, I realized that I haven’t been listening to the messages my body sends me. If their bodies talk, mine should talk too, right?
Doctor Edward Bach, creator of the Bach Flowers, said in one of his books that he sees diseases as something positive. They are the materialization of thoughts of fear that we choose at every moment. This choosing process is so automatic, that we do not even realize it and what is worse, we believe these thoughts to be who we are.
Our body is the one paying for that.
Many people suffer from tension on the shoulders. No wonder, since we have the insane habit of trying to carry the world on our backs. We carry so much burden that our attentive and patient shoulders send a sign of pain that questions us: Don’t you think you could choose to let your grievances go?
Nowadays, our neck pain is also telling us the story of modernity: we look more to our cell phones than to the eyes of loved ones, than to the blue or starry sky, to the birds, to what happens around us.
Our wrinkles on the forehead tell us that we may be worrying too much and smiling too little. Our knee pain tells us that we could be more flexible with others and ourselves. Our stomach ache tells us that we have chosen fear. Our worn teeth tell us that we are often tense even when we sleep and grind our teeth.
What is your body telling you?
Your body shows you what kind of thoughts you have chosen.
Please don’t get me wrong here, but if your body is to tell you any kind of story, I wish you have expression marks around your mouth, popularly known in Brazil as “Chinese mustache”. It may be a sign that you are learning to smile more and that you are not taking life so seriously.

Catia is travelling to Brazil just now on a 3 week Miracle Choice trip. There is a Facilitator Training in Sao Paulo, several talks and a Mastermind meeting with the Certified Facilitators. She is also travelling to Curitiba for an Pocket Game event.
James is at home coordinating the final touches to the Spanish and Dutch version of the Miracle Choice Pocket Game. The Spanish version will be available at the Enlight Festival in Ibiza. This is an 8 day, “Course in Miracles” celebration. One of the founding ideas of the Enlight Festival is that our learning is shared and there is no difference between teacher and student. This idea is not explored intellectually but actually lived. James will be there 1-8 October and you can find out more about the event here.
Much Love, James, Catia and Juliana
