I heard myself saying to my son “stop upsetting your sister!” but then I stopped because I suddenly realised I was teaching the denial of choice. I was teaching my children to connect their feelings to what the other had just done. I was teaching a lie about who were really are and teaching a lie does not feel good because it reinforces the same false belief within me.
There is no connection between how you feel and what is happening around you.
How you feel in any moment is connected to the inner choice for love or fear.
To undo false connections it may be helpful to see yourself holding a pair of scissors and cutting the imaginary string that you have drawn between what you feel and the behaviour of others.
Our world would change completely if we only connected our feelings to an inner choice.
We would never see ourselves as a victim.
We would take complete responsibility for our well being.
We would not try to manipulate the behaviour of others.
We would be free and allow others be free.
When we experience the power of making inner connections we are free in every moment. We are no longer confused because we connect joy with choosing love and pain with choosing fear. And once we value choosing a consistently peaceful mind we will automatically teach others to do the same.
