You never had control!
Letting go of control only seems hard because we think we had control and so giving it up seems to be a loss.
But what if we never had control and the idea of being in control was only an illusion?
Maybe life is happening according to a loving or fearful plan and the only choice we have is which one to opt for?
I recognised this week that my lists were getting bigger and getting stressed seemed to be an option. But I realised that stress was in fact saying “I am not up to this Miracle Choice project, it’s too big and out of my control”.
But how could I not be able to flow joyfully with something that I had agreed to do, as part of a bigger plan, unless I am resistant or afraid of love? Stress seems familiar and somehow comforting but it is a way of disconnecting from inner guidance. It is a reflection of an inner decision for fear and not love.
The need to stay in control is incompatible with easily following a plan that is not my own. Being stress is following my plan. A plan of being a victim to circumstances, complaining about life and finding and excuse for not staying in the flow.
I found John Smallman’s blog on February 27, very helpful in this regard. His channeled message from Jesus talks about control and it is wonderful!
“You do not need to work hard at your tasks on the path to awakening because each of you is ideally suited to the task you have chosen. Difficulty and hard work arise when you attempt to supervise and control the Divine Plan, seeing it as your task to complete alone and unaided. You are never alone, unaided, if it seems that you are, then you are doing something inappropriate, you are diverging from your path. To follow your path is to surrender control, control you could never exercise, to your loving Source and follow the intuitive guidance that flows into your awareness when you open yourselves to it instead of attempting to second guess God. What you need to know arrives at precisely the moment that it is needed, and you can count on that. Often you remain unaware of it because you are looking for something else!”
