This week I got really annoyed at my wife’s lack of clarity. Her confusing communication seemed to lead to stress in my life.
Then I read in A Course in Miracles – well, actually in Robert Holden’s little book “Holy Shift” which has short daily quotations from the Course:
“The world but demonstrates an ancient truth; you will believe that others do to you exactly what you think you did to them.” Text 27. VIII 8:1
My wife confused me and mixed me up – that’s what I believe she did to me!
Have I ever confused her with my lack of clarity? I will answer for her as I know the answer is “yes, of course!”
How then can I continue to make her lack of clarity into a big deal if I do the same to her?
Then I allowed myself to ask – how deep does the confusion go?
Have I decided to believe in confusion rather than clarity?
Have I on a deeper level of my being tried to introduce confusion into perfect clarity?
What would it be like to just let perfect clarity flow through my life without interfering with it in any way?
The process of allowing that to happen starts with getting annoyed at the confusion in your life and then being open to see your part in it. As well as adding confusion to the lives of others you have accused yourself of adding confusion deep with your being, to the clarity that is who you really are.
What do you want to correct?
The unclear communication of others or the confusion within your own self?
