You can easily get disheartened even though you started out with lots of enthusiasm.
You may have a clear sense of following an inner prompt, but then some challenges come up and you lose focus. Before we know it, you find yourself making a U-turn, justifying your change of mind and feeling down.
What happened to your momentum?
How can you stay true to your inspiration, your dreams and your desires?
You have patterns and habits that are unique to you that will slow you up and keep you where you are, unless you have looked at them with your inner Guide and transformed them.
Your pattern of getting distracted with unimportant details, when you know you need to make that phone call or write that email, has to be healed if you are going to stay connected to your inspiration.
Your perfectionist attitude and insistence, that everything has to be right before you move ahead, will slow your momentum.
Doing too much and getting tired is a trap and then you conclude it’s better and kinder to change your dream and find an easier one.
Spirit goes with you on your dream journey and gives you guidance at every step. Spirit will arrange the people and circumstances for you but you will not recognise them, if you’re not connected to your inspiration. Being “in tune” and connected is a habit and a discipline, that you need to value and develop, if you want to stay inspired.
It’s hard to care more about how you feel rather than how much you achieve, when you’ve been “a doer” all your life. You need to learn the art of staying with the flow of love when it takes a turn you did not expect. If you don’t you will find yourself than washed up on the river bank insisting that the path should have been different.
Stop swimming when you find you’re efforting, struggling or striving.
Take a rest if you are needing achievement, success and status to feel good.
Relax into the flow when you’re connected to your true self and others in a way that goes beyond results, goals and outcomes.
Go for it when you feel relaxed, open and carefree.
Flow into action when you feel nourished, supported and energised.
Then you will easily reach your dream because the goal of the dream is to know you’re already nourished, supported and energised.
The Course in Miracle puts it this way:
“Once you accept His plan as the one function that you would fulfill, there will be nothing else the Holy Spirit will not arrange for you without your effort. He will go before you making straight your path, and leaving in your way no stones to trip on, and no obstacles to bar your way. Nothing you need will be denied you. Not one seeming difficulty but will melt away before you reach it. You need take thought for nothing, careless of everything except the only purpose that you would fulfill. ” T20.IV.8:4-8
