When I decide to be happy, I honor the freedom and the gift to rule my own life.
I embrace the past and put it aside on a shelf.
My attention and my decision is on the present moment.
What do I want to feel, think and express in my life from now on?
No matter what happened in my childhood, yesterday or five minutes ago.
I choose to be happy now.
Regardless of my story and the conditions around me.
If the sun shines or not.
If I can do everything I planned for my day or not.
If people understand me or not.
If I sign that contract or not.
Because, deep down, I know that my happiness depends on nothing but a little inner key.
And only I have it.
No one and nothing has the power to control how I feel.
When I decide to be happy, the apple looks redder.
The orange becomes tastier.
I find myself smiling and seeing the most ordinary little things in my day as fantastic events.
Because that’s how I want it to be.
“Where are you? Here.
What time is it? Now.
Who are you? This moment.”
