Many people are who are into self development and spirituality talk about the power of thought. How your thoughts create your reality. How you need to be careful or at least aware of your negative thinking and do something about it if you want stop creating a miserable life and have a happy one instead.
Imagine you realise you’re judging your friend because you think they let you down. Your know your thinking is harming the relationship and also causing you to feel upset. So you want to change your thoughts.
To might try to change your thinking by remembering your friend’s good points or understand the reason they didn’t do what they said they would. You may even discover something good that unexpectedly happened as a result of your friend “letting you down”.
So you manage to change your thinking to a better feeling thought. A thought you can believe and feel good about. You’ve taken responsibility for your thoughts and not blamed them on your friend.
But maybe there is something else going on?

Maybe focusing on choosing the positive rather than the negative makes the negative more real and roots you further in duality?
