Many people that come across the Real World square in the Miracle Choice game wonder what it’s about.
In the game, the Real World is when the player reaches a state of wholeness for his intention chosen for the game session. This is an inner state when perception is totally freed from fear. The world itself does not change, but when seen through the eyes of Love, there is no suffering.
Many spiritual paths state that there is no material world, that it is just a hallucination. However, is it possible to deny the reality of the world? Our five senses tell us all the time that it is real!
The Real World cards suggest that the only way to find joy in a joyless place is by recognizing that we are not here. However, it does not mean that we deny that we see a world out there. To recognize that we are not in the world means to change the interpretation of our interaction with it. It is to realize that, regardless of what happens outside us, this could never make us happy or sad. It means not allowing external circumstances to have an effect on us.
However, it is not simply about not feeling angry, sad or hurt. If we are sad or angry, and instead of acknowledging that something has taken away our peace, we try to hide these feelings, we are making them even more real. It is necessary to realize that we often give our power away to something external to interfere with our inner self. When we hide our negative feelings, we deny ourselves the possibility of correcting them.
In order to be happy in this world, we must learn that our only true choice lies in choosing the thought system we use to interpret what happens to us. Instead of regretting and suffering with the effects of things we cannot control, we can learn that anything will only have an effect on my inner state if I allow it to do so. The power that something or someone has to affect me is limited to the power that I give away to them.
Therefore, in every situation, it is always useful to identify not only what we do, but what thought we choose in doing so: that of the ego, which tells me that my happiness is always at the expense of another person; or that of the right mind, which shows me that my happiness cannot be relative, and no matter what happens to me here, I can understand that nothing has the power to take away my inner peace.
By choosing to be at peace in seemingly upsetting situations, we can teach others that this is a possible choice for them as well. This brings the power of our mind to choose to be at peace regardless of the situation back to our awareness and to those around us. Even if our choice is not for peace now, at least we know that we can always choose again. Isn’t that incredible?

“There is a way of living in the world that is not here, although it seems to be. You do not change appearance, though you smile more frequently. Your forehead is serene; your eyes are quiet.”
