When you are with certain people, visiting particular places and experiencing specific things, you feel love and pleasure and in other situations you don’t.
Now you’re trapped. You have to be with that person, spend time in that place or have that thing to be happy. If you make someone special then others are not special.
This seems to be everyone’s experience in life, at least to begin with.
But we have to come to see that there is something wrong with that way of dividing up the world.
Imagine for a moment that you feel whole and complete. You lack nothing and feel love flow though you out into the world. Then you would experience wonder with everyone you meet not just the special few. You would be happy no matter where you go, independent of the conditions or the location.
How do you get that experience?
Decide one day that how you see others is how you see yourself.
Remember in your brother (sister) you but see yourself.
A Course in Miracles, Workbook 158.10:3
If not everyone you meet is a wonderful experience, then you have a mixed opinion of yourself.
You see yourself as both loving and unloving.
This belief is not true and it brings you pain.
So give yourself a break and let everyone remind you of who you truly are.
Anyone can bring love into your life because everyone is a loving being.
How wonderful is that?
News and Insights
I had a wonderful time in Sweden last weekend. A beautiful combination of listening to spirit and seeing the results of that reflected with others having insights and transforming their issues. It seems to be easy for me to allow spirit to flow when I’m teaching about choosing miracles. Spirit seems to be direct, kind and always helpful. When I saw a basket of Angel Cards in the workshop venue, I picked one and got the angel of “Risk.” Taking risks with Spirit isn’t risky but my ego thinks that aligning with love is risky, so I loved getting that card as support. I have so much to tell but I will keep it for another time, except to say that in Sweden I also spent time with 3 dedicated people who had spent a year playing the Miracle Choice game every 2 weeks. This allow them to see how their life can change when they bring situations to the game and then observe the result. This is really using the game as a practical spiritual tool. I’m starting to think about different ways to support groups that meet to play the Pocket Game as a ongoing spiritual practice. Play it and see how it can change your life.
So in a few days I’m travelling to Los Angeles. Yesterday it seemed a bit overwhelming getting ready to go off again. I thought it was a squeeze to catching up with family and do some veterinary work in between the trips. I also found some anxiety about the US trip was starting to creep in. Then I realised these feeling are a choice I don’t want to make. Instead I could be open for love to show we another way of seeing the situation. Travelling can all be in the hands of spirit if I choose. What could be more fun than that?
If you live in Los Angeles area, join me at the Mystic Journey Bookstore on Saturday 22 April at 2pm or get in contact to arrange a facilitated game around that time.
