Self-sabotage is a way of stopping yourself from remembering who you are in truth.
It’s a defence against love.
Once you recognise the purpose it serves then you’re free.
Lets look at self-sabatoge in the context of a quote from A Course in Miracles
As peace extends from deep inside yourself to embrace all the Sonship and give
it rest, it will encounter many obstacles. Some of them you will try to impose. Others
will seem to arise from elsewhere; from your brothers, and from various aspects of the
world outside. Yet peace will gently cover them, extending past completely
unencumbered. T-19.IV.1 (Bold mine)
Self-sabatoge is an obstacle you put in the way of peace or love when you feel it welling up from inside. You hurt yourself to stop seeing you are love.
So when you see you’re putting a obstacle on your path you can start seeing self-sabatoge as something positive! You would not be putting obstacles in front of love unless you were having an inner experience of love. You’re defending against the love that is already deep within you and that’s a hopeless thing to try and do.
Love is your true essence. I think this card from the Miracle Choice Game is helpful.
Self-sabotage is a choice for fear or for the ego.
You do that when the peace and love become too much.
Love will find a gentle way to flow past your self-sabotage.
The question really is: how much of a fight are you going to put up?
Your insistence there is something wrong with you, that you’re hopeless, that you’ll never succeed, that you’re unworthy is never going to work.
Let’s face it, self-sabotage is not going to be successful in stopping the flow of love.
So why bother? Decide to give it up.

Insights and News
The trip to the US was a deep connection with many different people, for more information go to FaceBook. Several people who bought the Miracle Choice game years ago and had been following me since, wanted to meet up. I was hosted for half the trip and as well as being very grateful I was touched by the mutual healing and joyful presence that we shared. It was wonderful for me to feel at home so quickly with people who I had never met before. This experience reminds me that we don’t just communicate with out physical senses but on many different levels.
The trip was also a time of deep rest for me which I will carry with me now that I’m back to a busy veterinary schedule as well as helping to plan Miracle Choice visits to England, Ireland, Sweden and Brazil – not to mention family life. These words from ACIM are really helpful to remember:
Yet there will always be this place of rest to which you can return. And you
will be more aware of this quiet center of the storm than all its raging activity. This quiet
center, in which you do nothing, will remain with you, giving you rest in the midst of
every busy doing on which you are sent. T-18.VII.8.
