Recently we had a meeting with the Miracle Choice trainers and our trainer, Rafaela Pimpão, shared a story of how eagles teach their babies how to fly. I kept this story in my mind and heart for many days. I would like to share this story with you.
The eagle makes its nest high on a rocky peak. Below, only the abyss and around the air to support the wings of the young. When the time comes, the mother eagle pushes the young to the edge of the nest. For them, the thrill of flying begins with fear of falling. It is part of the nature of the species and I think we can all relate to this fear. The mother eagle knows when the time comes and knows that she must push her young so that they learn to fly, which is their mission. While the young do not learn to fly, they will not understand the purpose of their life, they will not understand the privilege of being an eagle, so the push is the greatest gift a mother can give them. Then, in her supreme act of love, the mother pushes them into the abyss and they fly free after discovering their wings. However, if they are still unable to manifest their ability to fly, at incredible speed, almost always, the mother eagle rescues her baby a few meters from the ground and takes them back to the rocky peak.
I imagine that, just like me, you are going through a moment of many changes. A moment when much of what you considered your safe haven, your place of warmth and security, began to crumble. And it is natural to be afraid.
Perhaps you’re thinking: What if I fall, crash to the ground and find that I will never learn to fly? But what if you, like the mighty eagle, find out you have wings and can use them to learn to fly?
And if instead of cursing life for believing it has been so cruel, you recognize that it is pushing you into the abyss so that you can experience other valleys, mountains, rivers, other skies and who knows what else? What if all that is falling apart is the loving impulse of the universe to help you learn that you never needed anything that you considered necessary for your survival? And what if you find that you were trying hard to survive when, in fact, you can now choose to start living? That you can embrace life with all its ups and downs?
I truly believe that all things work together for good, and whatever is happening in your life, it happens with the loving intention that you discover your true Self.
Believe me, if you feel on the edge of the cliff, this is life wanting to show you that you were born to fly.
So, dear reader, take a chance, spread and feel your wings and try to take off. Rest assured that, if you are just a few meters from falling to the ground, you have many loving eagle mothers ready to rescue you and bring you back to the point where it all began and you can choose again and remember that you were born to fly.
