One of my great teachers on the path of self-knowledge was Marshall Rosenberg, founder of Nonviolent Communication, and today I want to recognize the impact of his presence in my life.
Other teachings and masters came later, but it was with Marshall that I first realized that my suffering was not caused by something outside of me, but by my own thinking about the situation.
That was in 1998 and that realization opened a new world for me.
A world of new possibilities.
A world of inner peace.
A world of endless growth.
A world of true love.
I love you, Marshall Rosenberg, for bringing this gift into the world and into my life.
And I love you, James Kelly, for introducing me to Nonviolent Communication that freezing morning in Scotland when we met while working together in the Findhorn Community garden.
Who would have thought that this story would turn into a game that transforms the lives of so many people today!
The cycle of transformation is wonderful and endless!
Finally, I share this precious reminder from Marshall: “Don’t do anything that isn’t fun.”
